System control
Kill-switch and send/dry-run mode are honored by every sender (daily distributor and surprise-heat watcher).
Distribution list — product subscriptions

Check a box to set what each recipient receives: 6 AM / 4 PM = those daily-briefing editions · Instant = NWS Warning/Watch alerts · Tropical / Coastal = those standalone briefings · SMS = critical text alerts (needs a phone). Edit the Phone field to add/change/remove a number. Changes save immediately. While SES is in sandbox each email must also be verified in SES to receive mail.
On-demand run
Starts a pipeline run immediately. Sending still obeys the kill-switch and mode above.
Generate now → send to one person
Sends one product to one person immediately — always sends (bypasses the kill-switch and send/dry-run mode). The daily briefing reuses today's already-generated briefing (no new AI call); the standalone briefings generate fresh on send. Use for a one-off; the distribution list governs scheduled sends.
AFD evolution report
Builds a PDF of how the NWS New York (OKX) Area Forecast Discussion progressed over the window — trend, PWAT track, and every discussion's synopsis — from retained snapshots plus the NWS archive. Emailed to the distribution list (honors the send/dry-run mode above). Max 92 days.
After-action report (AAR)
Compares what we forecast/warned vs what actually happened (ASOS + Mesonet rain, ASOS gusts, CO-OPS coastal, NWS storm reports) over the event window — per-hazard Hit / Miss / False-alarm + magnitude delta, with precip shown for last-24h / calendar-day / storm-total. Emailed to AAR subscribers. Pending suggestions appear above when the detector flags an event.
